This Privacy Policy explains how NiceToolHub (“NiceToolHub,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information in connection with Opskiff: Lightsail Manager (“Opskiff” or the “App”), an iOS application for managing Amazon Lightsail servers.
Introduction
Opskiff is designed to let you manage your own Amazon Lightsail resources from an iPhone or iPad. The App does not require you to create an Opskiff account, and NiceToolHub does not operate a backend server for storing your AWS credentials.
Information We Collect
Opskiff does not include advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, crash-reporting services, or cross-app or cross-website tracking. NiceToolHub does not collect a profile of your use of the App through those technologies.
When you use Opskiff, the App may display information returned by AWS for your account, such as server status, public IP addresses, AWS Regions, operating systems, snapshots, firewall rules, and static IP addresses. This information is retrieved from AWS for your use and is managed by your AWS account and AWS services.
AWS Credentials and Local Storage
To connect Opskiff to your AWS account, you enter your own AWS Access Key ID and Secret Access Key in the App. These credentials are stored only on your device and are protected using the iOS Keychain.
NiceToolHub does not receive, read from a NiceToolHub server, store on its servers, sell, or share your AWS credentials. Your credentials are used to access your own AWS account and are not sent to NiceToolHub.
How Opskiff Uses AWS APIs
Opskiff sends requests directly from your device to Amazon Web Services APIs, including the Amazon Lightsail API, using the credentials you provide. Depending on the permissions you grant and the actions you choose, the App can retrieve Lightsail information and perform actions such as managing instances, snapshots, firewall rules, and static IP addresses.
Your AWS account, AWS permissions, and AWS service data remain under your control through AWS. Opskiff cannot grant itself permissions beyond those available to the AWS credentials you provide.
Face ID and Device Security
Face ID is used only for local device authentication to help unlock credentials saved in Opskiff. Face ID data is handled by iOS and is not accessible to Opskiff or NiceToolHub. Opskiff does not receive or store your Face ID data.
You are responsible for securing your device, maintaining the confidentiality of your AWS credentials, and reviewing the permissions assigned to your AWS user.
Data Sharing
NiceToolHub does not sell, rent, or share your AWS credentials. Opskiff does not send AWS credentials to NiceToolHub servers. Requests made from the App go directly to AWS services. AWS may process information according to your agreement with AWS and AWS’s own policies.
Third-Party Services
Opskiff uses Amazon Web Services, including Amazon Lightsail, as an independent third-party service. AWS processes requests and manages AWS account data according to its own terms, privacy practices, and service policies.
Opskiff does not include advertising networks, analytics providers, cross-site tracking tools, or crash-statistics services. Opskiff is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or officially partnered with Amazon Web Services.
Data Retention and Deletion
Credentials saved by Opskiff remain on your device until you remove them using the App’s credential management controls or delete the App. When locally stored credentials are removed from the App or the App is deleted, the local credential data stored by the App is deleted from the device, subject to the normal operation of iOS backups and device storage.
Data held by your AWS account or AWS services is managed through AWS and is not deleted by removing Opskiff.
Children’s Privacy
Opskiff is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the App. If you believe a child has provided personal information to NiceToolHub, please contact us.
International Data Transfers
Opskiff does not operate a NiceToolHub backend for storing AWS credentials or App usage data. When you use the App, requests and related data may be processed by AWS in accordance with the AWS Region, services, and infrastructure involved. Please review AWS’s terms and privacy information for details about its processing and international transfers.
Security
We use reasonable measures within the App’s design to help protect locally stored AWS credentials, including the iOS Keychain and optional Face ID verification. No method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be absolutely secure. You should use least-privilege AWS permissions, protect your device, and rotate or revoke access keys when appropriate.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when Opskiff, our practices, or applicable requirements change. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. Your continued use of Opskiff after an update means that you have had an opportunity to review the revised policy.
